5 Simple Things To Add To Your Beauty Maintenance Schedule
So, What Exactly Is A Beauty Maintenance Schedule?
A beauty maintenance schedule is a visual way to plan and keep track of your beauty and self-care routine in order to keep looking gorgeous and at your best very often.
It will keep you looking put together, organised and consistently in a positive mood without the need to force a "glow up" whenever that spontaneous energy of motivation and inspiration comes to mind.
With all of that being said, your beauty maintenance schedule is not a contract, and therefore, you are not legally bound to do any of the tasks that you’ve assigned to yourself.
Instead, think of your beauty schedule as a guideline, something for you to bounce back to whenever you need a change or want to start a new chapter in your life.
Making a beauty maintenance schedule truly comes down to how often you want to prioritise certain tasks in regards to taking care of your appearance.
So, keeping a mental note of how your body responds to different products and treatments will be helpful in deciding whether you should follow through with certain tasks in your beauty routine, whether on a daily basis, every two days, or every fortnight.

1. Keep Track Of Those Nails
Yes, both the toenails and the fingernails!
It can be quite hard to meet a girl that doesn’t feel dainty and refined after caring for her nails, especially considering the fact that the nails are a silent contributor to someone’s overall beauty and appearance.
Even though your face tends to be the main highlight and focus whenever appearance is brought up, everything in the background, such as your nails, plays a part in just how attractive you are seen by others and how you feel about yourself.
A beauty maintenance schedule will help you keep track of when to soak your nails in a bath of soapy, warm water, apply nail oil, and shape your nails.
Try to notice just how long it takes for your previous coat of nail polish to start chipping away before you need to apply a fresh, new coat.
2. Do A Facial
When it comes to taking care of the face, developing a simple and easy-to-follow routine is the best route to go down.
Having a good baseline of products such as a cleanser, a moisturiser and a light exfoliator will keep your skin feeling hydrated, looking glowier and feeling much softer in the long run because these are products that can be used on a daily basis to improve the health of your skin .
Still, I do think it is essential to set aside some time within the month to do a deeper cleansing of the skin where other products and treatments are involved, such as doing a face mask or getting professional extractions at a spa.
Then, simply add this information to your beauty maintenance schedule and keep it up.
3. Hair Removal
Shaving and hair removal in general can truly be a time-consuming task.
This is exactly why I would strongly recommend that you split up your hair removal process into smaller sections so that you can focus on being more precise and not feel the rush to get things done instantly.
Again, be wary of how long it usually takes before you want to grab the shaving gel and shaver out of your beauty bag and shave again.
4. Don’t Forget Those Appointments
Making sure that those unavoidable routine tasks are present in your beauty maintenance schedule will indeed leave you feeling polished and neat.
Maybe it’s time to refresh those old braids, get an entirely different hairstyle, or do a deep hair wash at home.
Maybe it’s about cleaning your lashes, grooming your brows in place, applying your teeth whitening strips, or even visiting your dermatologist.
Whatever it may be, figure out a consistent time frame that you will be able to keep up with and get those appointments booked and dealt with.
5. Workout
As you get older, your weeks tend to get busier and you find yourself neglecting certain things, such as a 20-minute exercise session more often.
It’s not easy, I know. But even one day a week or one day every two weeks can be very beneficial. Plus, working out is one of those self-satisfying tasks that keeps a smile on your face the whole day.
So when creating your beauty maintenance schedule, remember to add this :)
Um, How Exactly Do You Create A Beauty Maintenance Schedule?
Well,
Grab your highlighters, your pens, and a notepad and then write down every task that is involved in your beauty maintenance routine.
Your beauty maintenance schedule should be easy to comprehend and navigable, but if you are struggling to think of anything as of yet, start with the five that I've listed above in this post.
Next, section your sheet of paper into different time frames, such as "every month", "every fortnight", "once a week", "daily" etc. You can also be more specific as to what day you would like certain tasks to be done.
Finally, categorise the tasks into the different time frame sections, and that’s it.
Your beauty maintenance schedule is done. Now it’s up to you to start.
Also, if you’re not up to creating this yourself, stick around as I will be creating a pdf file of a cute beauty maintenance schedule for you to enjoy soon :)
