Summer is honestly the perfect time to truly redefine yourself and focus on enhancing your appearance and boosting your self confidence.
Now, you finally have the time to experiment with different things whether that’s switching up your fashion style or doing something completely out of your comfort zone.
But if you have no idea on how to start your summer glow up journey, here are 8 really good ways you can essentially captivate other’s attention and glow up over the summer holidays.
Let’s Dive In :)
#1 Embrace And Accentuate Your Natural Beauty
Instead of constantly looking for ways to get rid of those “flaws” that make us beautiful, unique and human, embrace them and look for ways to accentuate them.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having insecurities and finding flaws within our appearance as that too is normal.
However,
It’s important to not let these things drastically affect your life or any decision you make
Meaning....
Your decision to not wear a bathing suit shouldn’t be because you have stretch marks on your cheeks.
Your decision to wear a heavy covering of foundation shouldn’t be because you want to hide the freckles on your face etc…
Why not look for simple, harmless ways to make your cheekbones pop more, your dimples and beauty spots stand out more and even your birthmarks.

#2 Learn How To Do A Dewy, Sun-Kissed Makeup Look, For You To Show Off This Summer
Since I’m fairly new to the makeup game, I’ve decided to start practising my make-up skills this summer starting off with something more simple, soft and natural.
Soooooooo…
I’ve gathered a list of 8 basic items that I will be buying this summer to start my summer transformation :)
A neutral eyeshadow palette
A more neon and brighter colour eyeshadow palette
A bronzer
Eyeliner
Sunscreen
Maybe a foundation and concealer stick
A Setting spray
And something that has to do with glitter? Idk
#3 Switcheroo Your Hair
There are so many great ways you can switch up your hair, it’s actually quite weird that I have no idea what I’ll be doing to mine this summer.
Maybe I should get bangs or a pixie hair-cut...yeah, that’s probably not going to happen
But…
There are so many other exciting but less risky things we could do . For example:
Changing your hair colour (pro-fesss-sion-nallly!)
Doing some sort of crochet hairstyle
Getting braids
Adding highlights to your hair
Buying wigs
Curling your hair
Trying those hair wax colour thingies??
Dip dyeing the ends of your hair
Using scarves to invent new hairstyles
Straightening your hair
Or even something as simple as adding colourful clips and hair jewellery to your hair.
TA DAAAAA
Okay, moving on…
#4 Research About Your Skin
Try and get a chance to visit a dermatologist to properly examine your skin problems.
While you’re at it, you might as well go ahead and visit the optician and the dentist this summer just so that you’re all set for when summer vacation is over and you have to go back to school or work.
Get some info on your skin type and what particular products and ingredients works exceptionally well in giving you that radiant glow and beautiful results so that you can finally make your ultimate, personalised skincare kit :)
#5 Beautify Your Nails
Whatever that means...
But I’ve decided on getting a french gel manicure because it looks very classy, put together and elegant.
I’ve also decided on creating a nail care kit so that my nails can finally get all the love and care they’ve always deserved.
What about you?

#6 Renovate And Rebuild Your Wardrobe
The way you dress can be seen as significantly important as the clothes you wear can either enhance your confidence and physical appearance or diminish your confidence and physical appearance.
So, it’s super important to find your aesthetic and signature fashion style and dress accordingly.

#7 Tone Your Body
Summer is the time for you to mend and rebuild those bad habits into really good ones.
I’m talking about
Waking up earlier
Getting those abs
Eating more healthy (...at least try to)
Going out and observing nature
And basically drinking more cups of water everyday
In all, what I’m saying is, you should try and do things that require strength and for you to be active.
Heck, why not go to a park and practice shooting some hoops or even riding your bike around your neighbourhood. Give it a go. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it
Anyhoo…

#8 Build Your Confidence And Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone
Confidence also plays such an important role in your glow up journey because doing anything else regarding your physical beauty would be pointless if you don’t have self confidence.
Use this summer as a time for you to finally step out of your comfort zone and do those things you’ve always wanted to do whether that’s a start up project such as YouTube or an expressive hobby such as dancing. Just Do it. You know you want to :)
Here are 7 ways you can achieve confidence this summer:
Dress up and take more pictures of yourself
Find a hobby that you seriously enjoy
Find a role model with the same confidence you’re aspiring to get to
Start setting goals for yourself
Stop underestimating yourself
Distant yourself away from anything negative...yes that includes people :(
BE YOURSELF...well, unless you’re a psychopath :D
Here’s a quote for you to take whilst you leave:
How you love yourself is how you teach others to love you
Well, That’s It Folks
