How To Easily Rebuild Your Wardrobe For A More Elegant And Feminine Aesthetic
Restarting your wardrobe entirely from scratch can be quite a time consuming task especially if you’re aspiring to get that elegant, classy and put together look.
It might take hours of organisation and weeks, maybe even months, to finally complete your wardrobe to its fullest potential but when it is finally finished, you’ll feel so excited, thrilled and elevated.
So in this blog post, I’ve decided to gather some effective tips that can help you transform your wardrobe into an aesthetic that is chic, feminine and tasteful.
Let’s Start With…
How To Rebuild Your Wardrobe
#1 Create A Pinterest Board Of Your Ideal Wardrobe
Not only is this such an easy step to do but it is also very fun and inspiring as well.
There are so many great ideas to explore on pinterest especially when it comes to fashion and aesthetics.
Take a look at all the clothing items you’d want to see in your wardrobe and add them to your Pinterest board. Think carefully of which style will reflect you, enhance your beauty and showcase your personality.
#2 Find A Person That Mirrors Elegance With Their Fashion Style
This is something that I have done and I happened to find it somewhat educational. I think that instagram is the best place to find someone that you can take inspiration from when it comes to fashion style but I also love to take inspiration from certain movie characters such as Raquel Lancaster in the movie called “Single Ladies”.
#3 Come Up With A Reasonable Budget To Stick Within
This is important as you don’t exactly want to go overboard with your spending but you don’t exactly want to cheapen yourself with things of less quality.
Also, don’t be tempted to always get those items that are for sale because the quality might not be up to your satisfaction.
But with that being said, realise that just because it is of higher price, doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be of high quality but it probably does mean that you will take really good care of it.
#4 Sell Some Of Your Clothes
Letting go and giving away things that belong to you is a hard step for me too.
But!
It is something that must be done.
So, sell those ugly ripped jeans, those overly patterned clothes and all the other clothing items that don't align with your new found look, that don’t fit you or enhance your beauty at all.
There are apps like Depop and Vinted that can easily assist you with this.
It is time to make room for the best and only the best :)
And Now On To...
How You Can Make Your Wardrobe More Elegant And Feminine
#1 Go Neutral And Pastel
These colours are amazing in capturing others attention without being too flashy or harsh on the eyes.
Neutral and pastel colours are great for seeming quite elegant and they do well in exuding feminine energy.
So, pick a minimal range of about 5 neutral colours that suit your skin tone the best and incorporate these colours when choosing clothes to buy and outfits create.
#2 Create A List Of The Basic Pieces You’ll Need To Incorporate In Your Wardrobe
From Long blazers and maxi coats to long high waisted trousers and mini dresses, I would recommend getting a minimum of 3 different coloured pieces for each of the clothing items written down on your personalised list.
Remember that they don’t have to be expensive or from the most popular brands. They should be within your overall budget.
#3 Add Texture
Texture can really spice up your wardrobe and outfit to a whole new level.
I personally love playing with different fabrics such as silk, leather, satin and wool.
Try it! :)
#4 Buy Specific Pieces For Specific Events
I’m talking about investing some of your money in gym apparel for fitness, something that you will be able to wear to a formal dinner or a fancy celebration etc…
Also, try to get some pretty accessory pieces (sunglasses, scarves, handbags, purses, watches…) that will match and go well with everything that you have in your wardrobe.
