Nothing feels better than just dipping your body into a cosy bath of warm, soothing water. You begin to feel at peace and forget about all the stress that you are dealing with in your life. 

You truly get to detach yourself from all the worries that are constantly taunting you and you are finally able to be selfish for once and solely focus on yourself. 

In this blog post, I’ll be sharing one of the ways in which  you can easily destress and just enjoy life by having the most relaxing bath ever. So let’s dive in :)

  • And how you yourself can be relaxed in the bath you’ve prepared

The Basics

Before you start, please note that there are some simple but important things in which you’ll have to do in order to achieve that desired bath time.

These things include:

  • Making sure that your bath is clean and fit for a beautiful person such as yourself.

  • Making sure that the area around you is also clean and organized.

  • And making sure that you have made a mental or physical note of how long you are planning on staying in your tub.

Preparing Your Bath

So this is the part where you gather anything that feels homely, relaxing, productive or just entertaining so that you are occupied whilst you sit back and enjoy the warm water running against your skin.

Make a playlist:  Yes, it’s true that different music can make you feel different ways which is why many run to instrumentals and smooth radio in order to feel light-hearted and calm. However, if classical music is not up your alley, try to put together a list of music that you can personally relate to, regardless of the genre. Just make sure that the music you’re listening to, puts you in a happy and positive mood.

Get a book and start reading: Reading is such a great way to relax. It takes you on a compelling journey where no plane tickets or bus passes are needed. Reading in the tub is such a great way for me to relax and destress especially when I have any upcoming exams that will most likely bombard me with so many work and tasks.

Get a small snack: Just a little slice of  a banana or an apple is a great treat when in the bath. They’re not too heavy and excessive instead they’re small and have great health benefits. 

Get a Drink: Put your feet up whilst you sip some tea and relax. Shamelessly, give in to your cravings whether that’s orange juice or plain water. This is the time for you to step away from the hardships of life and spoil yourself.

  1. Scented candles: Personally, I absolutely love the smell of vanilla, cinnamon or lavender. They just have this way of instantly turning my frown upside down and making me feel positive all over.


  2.  Bath bombs (of course): I never really understood what the use of bath bombs were for,  except for the pretty colours and the satisfying explosions, and to be honest, I still don’t understand. However, after being given bath bombs that had a small surprise inside, I've never looked back which is why I am telling you to also get this fulfilling product. 


  3. A loofah:  Try to find a loofah that is soft and friendly to your skin, yet make sure that it is still able to do its job which is exfoliate and get rid of the dead skin and dirt.


  4. Body Scrub: This is also another way for you to get rid of those pesky dead and dry skin.


  5. Bath Oils, Salts And Bubbles: These items just create the perfect atmosphere and ambience which then forces you to feel relaxed and calm. 


  6. Bath Tray: You’ll find this product extremely helpful if you’re planning on carrying a snack or a book with you into the bath. This is also very important if you’re going to take the risk of carrying any sort of technology, such as your phone or your tablet.


  7. A Pillow: This is not something that most people rush to get when they’re trying to relax in the bath, but it could be of great help for some sort of meditation or just for supporting your lazy head.

 

Relaxation  In The Bath

Put on a face mask: This is the perfect opportunity for you to deep clean your face and enhance the appearance of your pores.

Listen To A Podcast/Audio-book: If you’re a bit hesitant like me, to carry a book or my phone in the bath, then listening to a podcast or an audio-book could be a great and safer alternative. 

Watch A YouTube Video: Why not watch some of your favourite creators or even watch a short film. Do whatever tickles your fancy.

Nail Care: Invest some of this quality time into caring for your nails. Do whatever you feel like you have to do. Whether that’s scrubbing them, filing them or painting them. Just make sure that they’re not being neglected and abandoned. 

Journal: Take the time to reflect and let your feelings all out. You might want to write down a gratitude list or some monthly goals that you might really want to achieve. Write about the things that you hold so dearly in your heart and just enjoy your bath.

Smile: Smile because you have so much to smile about. Know that better days are coming.
